Born in 1948, and graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Since 1979 he has been involved in graphic design.

Illustrations for over 300 books and magazines to date. Since 1996 he has also been involved in stamp production with more than 40 stamp designs going into print and circulation.

Zdeněk has held over 60 independent exhibitions and participated in many collective exhibitions and competitions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Holland, Switzerland, Spain, France,  USA, Canada, South Korea and Japan.

Works are represented in galleries, museums and private collections around the world.
